Stella May Fine Foods was spirited to life over a crisp, chilled glass of Champagne in Brunswick Street, Melbourne during a rare weekend getaway for Alison.

A couple of years completing a Commercial Cookery Certificate III (Catering) at Newcastle TAFE and working part-time in some of the Hunter Valley's finest food establishments flew past and in September 2009, Stella May Fine Foods started selling a small range of pate and terrines at the local Newcastle Farmers Market each Sunday.

Owner and producer, Alison, has always enjoyed cooking delicious, wholesome food to share easily with loved ones.  With her mother Lorna often stating that Alison reminded her of her own mother Stella, it wasn't difficult coming up with a name for the business.

Alison named her business, Stella May Fine Foods, to honour her grandmother, Stella May Manglesdorf.  To Alison it symbolises her core value of family and sharing ... families bonding through a shared meal.  Recipes handed down over generations.  Families remaining connected despite being separated as they move from country to country.  Families contributing to the community.

Alarmed by the increasing levels of preservatives and chemicals in food and armed with her Grandmother, Stella May’s, love of honest country cooking, Alison wants to bridge that gap between home-made and supermarket lines.

In September 2010, Stella May Fine Foods relocated to Brisbane and is becoming well known for its manufacture of quality, award winning home-style pate and terrines, rillettes and confit meats.

You'll be delighted by the quality of Alison's award-winning products.  But don't stop at sampling her infamous Boozy Duck Pate - also try Alison's home-style pates, terrines, rillettes and confit meats.  They're delicious, and have won Alison numerous medals at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show and a 2012 Finalist in delicious Magazine Awards.

Only high quality, predominantly Australian ingredients are used.  All ingredients are selected for their gluten-free status and are free from chemical additives. 

Each product is truly hand-made under best-practice HACCP Food Safety Program procedures to ensure optimal product quality, visual appeal and flavour. 

Stella May Fine Foods holds a Safe Food Production Queensland Accreditation and is rated 5-Star on the Brisbane City Council Eat Safe Program.
